School Bus in Embu has been torched by boda boda operators

A school bus in Embu County has been torched by angry boda boda riders after one of their own was knocked and killed by the school bus belonging to Lions Academy.

The victim was killed this morning, at around 6 AM and it is reported that there ware no children in the bus.

The school bus driver is still no where to be seen since the incident happened.

Inviolata Imani, the Acting Embu West Subcounty police commander, said the driver of the bus escaped after being attacked by the operators.

A resident from the scene said the boda boda rider was from dropping a child at school in St Michael primary school when the accident occurred.

The acting Embu West SubCounty police commander Inviolata Imani has confirmed that the rider died while on his way to the hospital.

She has also said “We have not traced the driver who escaped after being assaulted by the riders,”

She also requested the road users to be careful when they are using the road in order to avoid such incidents.

The operators though blamed the other road users that whenever accident happens,they are always blamed to be on the wrong side.They also demanded to be respected as the other road users since they do not plan accidents,it just happens.
