“when it comes to the security of any Kenyan,we can’t compromise. I equally don’t support what the government did.If they were to change that security, they should have done it with the knowledge of our DP.”Atwoli said.

Though the trade unionist made it clear that the Deputy President is not the right man to lead the country.

“In 2014, I said the Deputy President is not the right person to lead this country, but if Kenyans want him, they are free to elect him and we will respect the office,” he added.

Bruno Shioso,Police Spokesman, said the reassignment of VVIP security officers as normal changes.

“This is a normal reassignment of duties within the National Police Service to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. The Presidential Escort continues to provide close security protection to William Ruto,” Shioso explained.
