Member of Parliament (MP) for Gatundu South Moses Kuria has rejected calls from United Democratic Alliance (UDA) leadership to collapse small parties for the favour of UDA.
Mount Kenya needs a strong political party , he echoed his sentiments while attending a burial in Murang’a County. Chama Cha Kazi leader,Moses Kuria,is not happy with the leaders allied to United Democratic Alliance for their constant remarks aiming at the small parties to be dissolved and join UDA.
At the moment, the newly formed party,Unied Democratic Alliance, enjoys a good number of supporters from Mt Kenya region which is estimated to be having around 10 million registered voters.
UDA is targeting Mt Kenya region as their secondary region after Rift Valley which will give formidable support if everything goes well as planned. The United Democratic Alliance leaders are aware without Mt Kenya region support, it will be difficult for them to win the upcoming 2022 Presidential election, and that is why, their main focus is in the region.
Chama Cha Kazi leader also cited that he is not happy on how Ruto is labelling other parties tribal and yet he has not won a seat outside Mt Kenya region.
“A party that has only one MP and two MCAs from Kiambu, Nyandarua and Nakuru can not claim to have bragging rights to brand all other parties as regional or tribal,” he said.
He further said the “hustle nation” slogan cannot be owned by one individual since it was born from different minds.
“The truth of the matter is that the United Democratic Alliance which they purport to portray as the only vehicle in the region is only one member of the hustler nation. Further, the hustler nation is and can not be owned by any particular individual as we started it all as a mass movement,” he added.
